1,300 Items Collected In FSU Food Fight
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University Athletics
Department collected more than 1,300 items during the inaugural
Ferris State Food Fight.
Items were collected in late November and early December by members
of the Ferris State Student-Athlete Adivsory Committee (SAAC) and
dontated to Angels of Action, a local organization that helps feed
children in need.
As part of the Food Fight, university departments, local
organizations, churches and businesses had a chance to compete
against each other for prizes and awards.
First place went to Ferris State's FLITE library with second place
received by the Mecosta-Osceola Department of Human Services and
third place awarded to the Mathematics Department at FSU.
