FSU Softball Featured On "Ferris Sports Update"

Big Rapids, Mich. - A new episode of the Ferris Sports Update television program is currently available via on-demand streaming for fans to enjoy and offers a complete report on the Bulldog Softball team as they begin Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) competition.

Ferris Sports Update, which is a half-hour interview show profiling FSU Athletics, is hosted by current Ferris Associate Athletics Communications Director Rob Bentley.

The latest show was taped on March 25 prior to the Bulldogs' initial GLIAC doubleheader against Saginaw Valley State, which took place yesterday (March 31).  It includes a look back at the team's trip to Florida along with thoughts and analysis on conference competition and what's ahead this campaign.

The guests for the show include current FSU head coach Keri Becker, along with two current players in senior pitcher/utility player Rhea Flores and junior catcher Rachel Mueller.

The Ferris Sports Update show is produced by Ferris State University Television and Digital Media Production (TDMP) students in partnership with the Bulldog Athletics Department.  The 30-minute show, which is currently midst its fourth-straight season after undergoing a format change last fall, is produced periodically throughout the fall and spring semesters.

The current show featuring the softball team is being aired locally on Ferris' Cable Television Channel at selected times during the week (see list below) and free live on-demand streaming of the show is also available over the internet on a continuous basis at www.ferrisstate.tv.

The on-demand version of the latest show can be accessed by visiting www.ferrisstate.tv and clicking on the March 25 show link.
