Women's Tennis Suffers Two Home Setbacks To NCAA D1 Eastern Michigan
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad officially opened its spring semester of action on Monday (Jan.19), falling to NCAA Division I Eastern Michigan in a non-conference doubleheader inside the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.
The visiting Eagles took the opener by a 6-1 score and pulled out a 4-1 decision in the nightcap.
In the opener, the Bulldogs fell behind early and Eastern Michigan managed to garner the 6-1 win over the Bulldogs. FSU's Madeline Paisley picked up a win in straight-sets at the top singles flight in the lineup for the Bulldogs.
Int he second match of the day, EMU jumped in front early by taking the first three completed doubles flights. The Eagles then held strong with three singles victories to account for the final margin.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Feb. 6 with a men's and women's doubleheader in non-conference play versus Spring Arbor starting at 2 p.m. (ET) in Big Rapids.
