Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team notched its second-straight victory on Thursday (Feb. 21) night as the Bulldogs rolled to a 6-1 non-league home triumph over visiting Calvin at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.
The Bulldogs topped the Knights by winning all three doubles matches for the initial point and claiming five of six singles flights.
In doubles play, FSU notched wins of identical 6-0 scores at the first and third spots in the lineup along with a 6-3 triumph in the middle position.
While Calvin did record a straight-set win at one singles, the Bulldogs then swept the bottom five flights in the singles lineup and all came in impressive fashion.
The Bulldogs improved to 8-7 overall this year with the victory and FSU has now won two of its three spring encounters to date.
Ferris State will wrap up the weekend homestand by hosting Tiffin in regional action on Saturday (Feb. 23) starting at 10 a.m. (ET) in Big Rapids.
