FSU Women's Golf Takes Third Overall At Warrior Invitational
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team finished third overall on Tuesday (Sept. 23) as play wrapped up in the Warrior Invitational hosted by Wayne State University at Orchards Golf Club in Washington, Much.
The Bulldogs finished the 54-hole event with a 912 overall team score, carding a 298 in the last round after previously shooting scores of 307 in both the first and second rounds of play on Monday. Grand Valley State and Findlay tied for first overall with 885 totals in the field of 13 squads.
Individually, FSU's Kamryn Shannon was midst a four-way tie for first place overall with a 219 figure. She carded scores of 72 in round one, 73 in round two and 74 in the final round.
The Bulldogs' Lizzie Anderson came in 12th overall with a 227 figure on rounds of 76, 78 and 73 in the tourney.
FSU's Ashley Thomasma tied for 22nd in the field at 234 for the three rounds, shooting a 78 in round one, a 85 in round two and a 71 in the last round.
Kylie Walker placed 30th for Ferris State as she shot a 238 figure. Walker carded a 84 in the opening round before coming back with a 74 in round two and an 80 in round three.
Ferris State's Taylor Musselman shot a 247 and wound up 43rd overall, notching a 81 in round one followed by scores of 82 in round two and 84 in round three.
Additionally, Isabel Kelly placed tied for 51st while competing as an individual. She shot a 84 in the first round before carding scores of 88 in round two and 81 in the last round.
The Bulldogs will host their own Bulldog Fall Classic on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 27-28, at FSU's Katke Golf Course.
