Ferris State STUNT Splits Two Sunday Contests In Ohio
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University STUNT team returned to action on Sunday, scoring a road split against a pair of Ohio foes in Ashland, Ohio.
The Bulldogs, who are ranked 16th nationally, fell to #10 Malone 26-17 in the opener at AU's Katkes Gymnasium before coming back to beat #24 Walsh by a 24-19 margin.
In the match versus Malone, the Bulldogs took a 5-3 lead at the end of the opening period before MU came back to win the last three frames, including a 10-5 effort in the final quarter.
Ferris State again jumped in front in the opening quarter in the win over Walsh, taking a 3-1 edge. FSU led 8-2 at the end of the second quarter and held off the Cavaliers by taking the final period 11-10 for the five-point win.
With the split on Sunday, the Bulldogs now own a 9-6 overall record to date this season. This year marks the inaugrual season for Ferris State in college STUNT.
The Bulldogs will next compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Championship set for April 2-4 in Springfield, Mo.
