Ferris State Cross Country Wraps Up Fall Season At NCAA Regional

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's cross country squads closed out the fall season on Saturday (Nov. 8) at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Championships in Kenosha, Wis.

Ferris State's women's squad came in 16th overall in the team competition with 409 points. A total of nearly 30 schools competed from across the region.

Whitney Farrell led the FSU women as she finished 41st in the 6K event with a time of 22:13.3 overall. Jesica Durkee placed 65th (22:47.0) and Emily Plouff was 97th (23:17.0).

The Bulldogs' Ella Kowatch finished 101st (23:20.3) and Tessa Wohlschlegel was 105th (23:25.8) among FSU's top five competitors.

The Bulldog men placed 17th in a strong field, totaling 459 points overall.

The men's squad was led by Emmett Johnson, who finished 47th in the 10K race with a time of 32:02.3.

FSU's Ryan Ososki placed 71st (32:30.6) with Ben Knuth 104th (32:59.5). Meanwhile, Aaron Bowerman came in 111th (33:09.1) with Julian Linebaugh 126th (33:37.3) in the top five of the Ferris State lineup.
