Time Change Announced For Bulldog Men's & Women's Tennis Thursday At Lewis

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's tennis teams' scheduled non-league matches against Lewis (Ill.) on Thursday (April 2) have been adjusted due to impending inclement weather near the Flyers' campus.

The matches have been moved indoors and will now be played at the Five Star Tennis Center, located in Plainfield, Ill. Both the men's and women's matches will get underway starting at 12 p.m. (ET) as the time was moved up approximately 90 minutes with the venue change.

The Bulldog women's team, which is currently ranked seventh in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Rankings, holds an 18-8 overall record to date this season. Thursday's match against the Flyers marks FSU's final regular-season outing of the year.

On the men's side, the Bulldogs head into the contest at 11-5 overall and atop the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) standings at 5-0 in league play. FSU is ranked fifth in the Midwest Region and 47th nationally in the ITA poll.

After the match against Lewis, the Bulldog men's squad returns home and will resume league play with a key showdown against archrival Northwood on Thursday, April 9, with match time set for 2 p.m. (ET) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center. FSU then plays another important GLIAC match at home against Wayne State on April 12.

Both the Lewis men's and women's teams are also ranked regionally heading into Thursday's tilt with the women listed eighth and the men ninth in the region.
