Ferris State Hockey Closes Out Regular Season At Lake Superior State This Week

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's ice hockey squad will close out Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) regular-season action this week as the Bulldogs play a rare Thursday & Friday night series at Lake Superior State in Sault Ste. Marie.

The two league opponents will hit the ice for game one on Thursday (Feb. 26) night at Taffy Abel Ice Arena with the series' finale set for Friday (Feb. 27) evening. Both matchups will begin at 7:07 p.m. (ET).

The Bulldog Sports Network will carry both weekend games with online coverage available at FerrisStateBulldogs.com. Pregame coverage begins a half-hour prior to puck drop both nights. Friday's finale will also be aired live on local flagship station Sunny 97.3 FM.

Additionally, both games will also be video streamed on a pay-per-view basis via CCHA TV on the league's streaming platform in partnership with MidCo Sports Plus. An international stream is also available for customers outside of the United States and can be found on the Bulldog Hockey schedule page at FerrisStateBulldogs.com.

Ferris State is coming off a bye week after previously earning a regulation victory and a shootout win over Northern Michigan on Feb. 13-14.

This weekend will represent the 165th and 166th all-time meetings between the two teams. The Lakers hold a 80-69-15 mark in the series.

The Bulldogs can officially clinch a berth in the CCHA's Mason Cup Playoffs with a single point against Lake Superior State or NMU losing a single point in its weekend series at Minnesota State.
