Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's ice hockey team, which has won four consecutive games to date, will host longtime rival Bowling Green this weekend on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 2-3) at the Ewigleben Ice Arena in Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) action.
The opening game of the series is on Friday night at 7:07 p.m. (ET) with Saturday's finale slated for a 6:07 p.m. (ET) start.
Friday's game will serve as FSU's Student-Athlete Night with all Bulldog student-athletes able to pick up a free ticket for the game in person at the FSU Athletics Ticket Office located inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex. Student-athletes must present a valid student ID card and the free ticket can be picked up in person anytime prior to Friday evening's game during normal business hours.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the Bulldogs will hold their annual "Red Out" event organized by the sports communication program in support of women's heart health. The Bulldog Hockey team, along with FSU's men's and women's basketball teams the same day, will be wearing red uniforms and fans are also encouraged to wear red on Saturday. The annual event raises support for the women's cardiac unit at Big Rapids' Corewell Health hospital and fans will have an opportunity to participate in a silent auction and more throughout the day with donations benefitting Corewell Health.
This weekend will also represent "Friends & Family Weekend" on the FSU campus with parents and family members of all FSU students encouraged to attend home contests and other special campus events.
