Bulldog Men's Golf Comes In Tied For Fourth Overall At UIndy Fall Invite

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf squad concluded action at the University of Indianapolis Fall Invitational with a share of fourth place overall as play finished on Tuesday (Sept. 23) at the Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis.

The Bulldogs tied with Gannon for fourth at six-under par for the 54 holes, shooting a team score of 858 for the three rounds. FSU shot a 285 in the first round followed by a 288 in round two and a 285 in the last round.

Grand Valley State claimed first place at 813 overall with Hillsdale second (836) and McKendree third (856) in the event, which featured 14 competing teams.

The Bulldogs were led by Ethan Frost as he finished tied for fourth place individually with a 207 total for the three rounds. Frost shot a 69 in round one along with a 66 in round two and a 72 in the third round.

FSU's Ben Miller placed tied for 26th with a 216 total, notching scores of 73, 74 and 69 in each of the three rounds.

Meanwhile, Sam Havey shot a 218 and wound up tied for 31st, coming in with a 72 in both the first and third rounds along with a 74 in the middle 18 holes of play.

The Bulldogs' Kole Putnam finished tied for 38th on rounds of 71, 74 an 75 for a 220 figure.

FSU's Ray Dress came in tied for 60th in the field at 225. He notched a 78 in round one, a 75 in round two and a 72 in the last round.

Also, Peter Roehl competed individually and wound up 80th, shooting a 236 total on rounds of 85, 74 and 77 for each of the three rounds.

The Bulldogs are next back in action on Oct. 13-14 at the Doc Spragg Fall Invite in Findlay, Ohio.
