Ferris State Men's Golf Third After Day One Play At UIndy Fall Invite

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf team started action in the University of Indianapolis Invitational in third place following day one play on Monday (Sept. 22) at the Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis.

The Bulldogs shot a five-under par total on day one, which included shooting a 285 figure in the first round. FSU was at 225 overall for round two before play was stopped in the final four holes due to darkness after a rain delay this morning.

Presently, Grand Valley State holds the day one lead with Hillsdale second in front of FSU on the leaderboard. The field includes 14 teams.

Individually, Ethan Frost is fourth overall for the Bulldogs at eight-under par while Sam Havey sits tied for 20th at even par. Kole Putnam is currently tied for 27th at one-over par with Ben Miller tied for 33rd at two-over par. Ray Dress is tied for 73rd in the field at +10 after the first day of play. FSU's Peter Roehl is also competing as an individual and is 81st at +14 to date.

The teams will wrap up the second round on Tuesday morning starting at 8:45 a.m. (ET) before playing the third and final round of the 54-hole event.
