Ferris State Men's Golf Concludes Day One Play At Midwest-Central Regional Preview

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf team opened play in the 2025 Midwest/Central Regional Preview on Monday (Sept. 15) at FSU's Katke Golf Course.

The event serves as a test run for the NCAA Super Regional, which FSU will host next spring.

Monday's action got started late due to a morning fog delay and the second round was stopped due to darkness late in the day. Second-round play will resume on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. (ET) with the final round set to follow the completion of round two action in the 54-hole event.

Presently, the Bulldogs currently sit both sixth and seventh on the leaderboard as FSU's "B" team is in sixth at +21 overall with the other squad one shot back in seventh place at +22 overall. A total of 19 teams are taking part in the event.

After day one, Rockhurst sits on top at +3 overall followed by both Ashland in second place (+14) and Gannon (+14). Davenport is fourth (+16) and Tiffin fifth (+19) in front of the two Bulldog squads.

Individually, Giovanni Delorenzi of Gannon is the leader (-3) with FSU's Ray Dress second (-2) and Mark Pillar of Ashland third (-1). The Bulldogs' Peter Roehl is tied for fourth (even) and Ethan Frost is also in the top 25 overall at +6) in a share for 24th place.
