Women's Tennis Improves To 4-1 With Win

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team rolled to a 7-2 win over visiting Hillsdale in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play on Tuesday (Sept. 13) afternoon at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

The host Bulldogs won the match against the league newcomer by taking two of the three doubles flights and five of the six singles positions.

Ferris State won the bottom four singles spots in straight-sets with three of them by scores of 6-0, 6-0.  In addition, sophomore Ana Jan was a three-set winner at the number one flight.

The Bulldogs also won both the second and third doubles matches by convincing scores of 8-1 and 8-0, respectively.

FSU improved to 4-1 both overall and in league action with the triumph.

Ferris State is idle until next Tuesday, Sept. 20, when the Bulldogs venture to archrival Northwood for a 2 p.m. (ET) match in Midland, Mich.
