Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's volleyball team has climbed back into the nation's top 25 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II Top 25 poll.

The Bulldogs are ranked 24th nationally after opening Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play with back-to-back sweeps of Northwood and Hillsdale last weekend (Sept. 20-21) at the Ewigleben Sports Arena.

Minnesota-Duluth ranks first nationally this week with 1,194 total points and 44 first-place votes followed by Concordia-St. Paul, Tampa, BYU-Hawaii and central Missouri in the top five overall.

FSU is one of only two GLIAC member schools listed in the top 25 this week along with archrival Grand Valley State, which is 19th in the country.  Along with Ferris State and GVSU, Ashland from the GLIAC is among those receiving votes just outside of the top 25.

Ferris State, which was listed 23rd two weeks ago before falling just outside of the top 25 a week ago, is currently 7-3 overall this season.

This weekend, the Bulldogs will travel to Ohio for two conference matches as FSU visits Walsh on Friday (Sept. 27) night at 7 p.m. (ET) before facing Malone on Saturday (Sept. 28) at 2 p.m.  Both matches will take place in Canton, Ohio.

The Bulldogs will then return home to host archrival Grand Valley State on Tuesday, Oct. 1, starting at 7 p.m. (ET) inside the Ewigleben Sports Arena.
