Dr. Bo Lou embarks on his first season as a volunteer assistant
coach for Ferris State University men's and women's tennis teams in
the 2011-12 campaign, but has been a longtime supporter of both
programs.
He is employed as a professor of physics in the Physical Sciences
Department at FSU where he teaches introductory and general physics
courses. This is Bo's 22nd year of teaching at Ferris State. He was
the recipient of the Distinguished Faculty of the Year Award in
2006 by the Professional Tennis Management program.
Bo loves the game of tennis. Being a physics professor, he also
likes to study the physics of tennis in the areas of racquet
specifications, string technologies, ball spins and trajectories,
and court geometries, etc.
Dr. Lou and his wife, Lingfei, reside in Big Rapids. Their
daughter, Alina, is currently a medical school student at the
University of Michigan. The family enjoys nature, animals, and
travel.
