Big Rapids, Mich. - For a second-straight day, weather has impacted the Ferris State University softball schedule.
The Bulldogs' slated Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) road doubleheader at Saginaw Valley State set for Wednesday (April 24) afternoon has been called off due to wet fields from overnight rain and snow in University Center, Mich.
The two-game league set is now slated to be played on Thursday (April 25), weather permitting, at SVSU with the game times set for 3 and 5 p.m. (ET).
With the cancellation, the Bulldogs are scheduled to play four days in a row to wrap up league regular-season action. After Thursday's twinbill at SVSU, the Bulldogs host Findlay in conference action on Friday, April 26, beginning at 3:30 p.m. for game one of a two-game series in Big Rapids. FSU will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Title IX with a special event being held in conjunction with Friday's action.
Then, on Saturday (April 27), FSU entertains Hillsdale for two conference home contests slated to begin at 1 p.m. (ET).
Finally, on Sunday (April 28) the Bulldogs will face Northwood beginning at 2 p.m. (ET) for game one and game two to follow in Big Rapids.
Ferris State currently owns a 20-12 overall mark to date this season after winning four of a possible six games on the road over a three-day span this past weekend. FSU is currently 12-6 in league play and only a game out of second place in the conference.
