Due to unfavorable weather conditions, this Wednesday's (April 20) doubleheader against the Northwood Timberwolves has been postponed and will now be played next Tuesday, April 26, at the FSU Varsity Softball Field in Big Rapids, Mich.

Games times for next Tuesday's (April 26) Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division doubleheader are set for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. (EDT), respectively.

The Bulldogs, who have are currently 15-17 overall record and 12-8 in the GLIAC's North Division this season, were scheduled to host Wayne State this past Sunday (April 17) but weather also forced postponement of the conference twinbill.  The doubleheader against Wayne State will now be played Sunday, May 1, in Detroit, Mich., with game times set for noon (EDT) and 2 p.m. (EDT).

Ferris State, under 14th-year head coach Keri Becker, will now entertain the Grand Valley State Lakers this weekend (April 21-22) in a pair of conference divisonal doubleheaders at the FSU Varsity Softball Field in Big Rapids, Mich.  The West Michigan rivals square off this Friday (April 22), starting at 3:30 p.m. (EDT) for game one proceeded by the second game at 5:30 p.m. (EDT).  On Saturday (April 22), the twinbill opener gets underway at 1 p.m. (EDT) and game two is at 3 p.m. (EDT).  Admission is free to all home FSU games and the first 25 Ferris State students in attendance for each day will receive free pop and peanuts.  Prior to this Saturday's opener, the Bulldog softball team will honor its three senior student-athletes - catcher Rachel Mueller (Milford/Santa Clarita, Calif. Valencia), outfielder Colleen Roney (Wheaton, Ill./Glen Ellyn Glenbard South), and shortstop Lynsay Weaver (Bay City/All Saints).  Another highlight of this Saturday's doubleheader will be between games when kids will have an opportunity to "run the bases" with Brutus, the Ferris State Athletics mascot.  Following the activity, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt around the FSU Varsity Softball Complex and participation is free to both events.
