High School: Named All-Southwest Suburban Blue Conference First Team and all-area second team in 2009 at Lockport (Ill.) Township High . . . Coached by Marissa Chovanec . . . Graduated in 2009 . . . Four-year starter on the varsity squad . . . Helped lead 2009 squad to both conference and regional championship crowns . . . Played on two other league championship teams (2006 and 2008) along with a regional title squad (2008) . . . Chosen to play in the Illinois Super 60 Game which featured the state's top 60 prep softball standouts . . . Received of team's The Porter Pride Award in senior year . . . Posted a 9-3 pitching mark with a 0.92 earned run average in 106 innings pitched . . . Fanned 128 batters in the 2009 season and also earned three saves . . .  Picked up all-conference and second-team all-area accolades as a junior in the 2008 campaign . . . Generated an 11-3 record in the pitching circle to go with a 1.69 earned run average in 78-plus innings in 2008 . . . Started in 12 of 16 appearances for the 2008 season and accumulated 111 strikeouts and hurled three shutouts while tallying seven complete-game performances . . . Posted a 7-5 pitching ledger as a sophomore in 2007 with a pair of saves and a 1.48 earned run average in 66.0 innings . . . Compiled 72 strikeouts, three shutouts, and had five complete-game efforts as a starter in 10 of her 22 2007 season appearances . . . Started out prep career in 2006 going 12-0 in the circle as a freshman on the junior varsity team while producing a 1.25 earned run average and striking out 134 hitters in 75.0 innings of work . . . Member of National Honor Society . . . Also active in school's student government and the Interact Club programs.
