Ferris State's Trevor Holowaty Claims GLIAC Cross Country Athlete Of Week Honor

Big Rapids, Mich. - Senior Trevor Holowaty of the Ferris State University men's cross country squad has been tabbed as this week's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Cross Country Athlete Of The Week.

Holowaty emerged as the individual champion in a time of 25:26.4 overall at the 2017 Ray Helsing Bulldog Invitational this past Saturday (Sept. 9) at FSU's Katke Golf Course. The Bulldogs had four individuals finish among the top 10 overall en route to winning the team championship at the season-opening event.

This year marked the second consecutive year in which Holowaty finished as the individual champion at the Helsing Invitational, which was the 43rd annual event this year.

This week, Ferris State returns to action on Friday, Sept. 15, at the Michigan State Spartan Invitational in East Lansing.
