Below are some notes from the Bulldogs' NCAA Tourney trip:

Cincinnati Arrival - The Bulldogs departed from FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena on Wednesday afternoon and arrived in Cincinnati shortly after 7:30 p.m. (ET) with only a single stop in the Bowling Green area.  After unloading equipment at the US Bank Arena, the Bulldogs checked into their official hotel, the Embassy Suites, located less than a mile from the rink across the border in Covington, Ky.

Team Practices - All four teams hit the ice for one hour each on Thursday afternoon.  The Bulldogs had the second practice session of the four teams and were on the ice for nearly the full hour in preparation for Friday's third-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. FSU is 4-2 all-time in NCAA Tourney play and has advanced to at least the regional final in each of its last two appearances.

Interview Day - Ferris State head coach Bob Daniels and several players spent time conducting interviews on Thursday prior to and after practice.  Bulldog seniors Scott Czarnowczan, Garrett Thompson and Cory Kane sat down with ESPN as did junior goaltender CJ Motte and Coach Daniels.  Additionally, three seniors were featured along with Coach Daniels in the post-practice news conference, including Czarnowczan, Thompson and Kane.

Friday Schedule - The Bulldogs will be back on the ice for their typical pregame skate at 9:55 a.m. (ET) on Friday morning before returning to the rink to begin warmups on Friday afternoon.

Tourney Host - The host school for the NCAA Regional is Miami (Ohio), which is located in Oxford, Ohio, and a former member of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) along with the Bulldogs prior to this season's college hockey realignment.

The Bulldogs' 2002-03 team earned the program's first-ever berth and was among the national tourney's final eight teams before FSU's 2011-12 squad won the Midwest Regional Championship and reached the national championship game at the NCAA Frozen Four for the first time two seasons ago.
