Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University Athletics Department has announced next Saturday's (Feb. 8) men's ice hockey home contest against the Northern Michigan Wildcats is officially sold out.
Limited tickets currently remain for Friday's (Feb. 7) series' opener against NMU inside the Ewigleben Ice Arena. Both Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) contests get underway starting at 7:07 p.m. (ET).
The sellout of the weekend series' finale on Saturday against Northern Michigan comes a week in advance and will mark the Bulldogs' third sellout at home since the New Year as FSU previously sold out its two most recent home contests against Michigan Tech on back-to-back nights (Jan. 10-11).
Ferris State, which is idle this weekened, remained sixth in both of this past week's major Division I college hockey polls after posting a 3-0 road triumph over Michigan Tech last Saturday in Houghton. The NMU series represents the Bulldogs' next scheduled action of the campaign as FSU begins its final 10-game stretch of the regular season.
Currently, limited tickets remain for Friday's opener in both the single-game and group sales categories with the "Dawg Pound" student section already sold out for both games in what will represent the 44th and 45th consecutive sellouts of the Ferris State student section.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to ensure a seat for Friday's opener as the Bulldogs play their first home games in the month of February. The Bulldogs sold out their last two home outings against Michigan Tech on Jan. 10-11 and FSU has now posted 14 sellouts since the second half of the historic 2011-12 season in which FSU reached the Frozen Four and the national championship game.
Fans can purchase advance tickets for Friday's game and save over the normal gameday rates by visiting the FSU Athletics Ticket Office located inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex. Bulldog fans can also purchase all regular-priced tickets in advance 24 hours a day, seven days a week online at StarTickets.com or by calling 1-800-585-3737.
Normal business hours are Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) with extended hours on Wednesday's until 7 p.m. (ET).

Ferris State has currently been ranked among the nation's top 20 teams in the United States College Hockey (USCHO) Online Division I poll for 12 consecutive weeks and found among the country's top 10 teams in each of the last nine polls. The Bulldogs have been ranked as high as second nationally three different times this year.
The Bulldogs and Northern Michigan squared off twice earlier this season in Marquette with FSU capturing a 4-1 win in the opening game (Nov. 29) followed by a 1-1 overtime deadlock in the finale (Nov. 30). The two contests were part of a nation-leading and school-record 16-game unbeaten streak for the Bulldogs that stretched from late October to early January.
Prior to this coming week's matchup with the Bulldogs, the Wildcats are presently midst a pivotal league home series against Minnesota State this weekend and beat the Mavericks in the opener on Friday evening.
Presently, Ferris State holds a 18-6-3 overall record this season and owns a first-place 13-3-2 mark in its debut campaign in the WCHA. The Bulldogs presently remain four points ahead of second-place Minnesota State. FSU's 18 wins this year are currently tied for the most in the country.
