Limited Tickets Remain For Weekend Showdown Between Bulldogs & Broncos

Big Rapids, Mich. - Limited tickets remain for this weekend's Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) home series between the Ferris State Bulldogs and the nationally sixth-ranked Western Michigan Broncos.

The two national powers will battle in Big Rapids on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 1-2) nights with opening faceoff slated for 7:05 p.m. (ET) inside the Ewigleben Ice Arena. The Broncos are atop the CCHA standings and only five points seperates the two teams as the Bulldogs sit fourth after winning four of their last five contests and six of their last eight overall.

While tickets can still be purchased for the final CCHA regular-season series between two of the league's top programs, the Bulldogs have already sold out of all "Dawg Pound" student and group sales tickets.  A limited supply of the special two for $25 tickets remain and must be purchased by Wednesday at 3 p.m. (ET) and are only available while supplies last. General Reserved tickets for the premium contest are available and are $17 in advance or $19 on gameday.

FSU has presently sold out nine of its last 16 home games dating back to last season, including three of its past five outings in Big Rapids this campaign.

"Our fan support at home has been tremendous this season and we're excited about the opportunity to face Western Michigan in front of large and noisy crowds this weekend," said FSU head coach Bob Daniels. "Our fans provide so much energy and bring excitement to our building so we're hoping we can feed off that enthusiasm and are expecting a large draw."

The FSU Athletics Ticket Office, which is located inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex, will offer expanded hours this week and is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (ET) on both Tuesday and Wednesday along with Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The ticket office will open on on Friday at 9 a.m. and remain open thru the game.

All promotional prices are only available directly thru the FSU Athletics Ticket office and can be purchased either by visiting the box office during business hours or by calling (231) 591-2888. The special two for $25 offer represents a savings of $9 over the normal premium game rates.

In addition to the Western Michigan series, tickets also are currently on sale for the Bulldogs' final regular-season home action in two weeks versus Bowling Green State on Feb. 15-16. A special "Buy One, Get One Free" offer is available for the two games versus BGSU while supplies last thru the FSU Athletics Ticket Office.

The two games againstBowling Green State will mark the final CCHA regular-season home series for the Bulldogs with the Saturday game also serving as the school's "Senior Night" contest.  The Friday game will begin at the normal 7:05 p.m. start time with the Saturday's contest being televised live by Fox Sports Detroit from inside the Ewigleben Ice Arena in a special 5:05 p.m. (ET) start.

"It's hard to believe we have only four regular-season home games left and our opportunities to play in front of the best fans in college hockey are limited," said senior captain Kyle Bonis.  "They have been so supportive this season and give us a big boost every time we take the ice.  We're excited about the chance to face a team like Western Michigan this weekend in front of our own fans and looking forward to the experience."

While promotional prices are not available online, Bulldog fans can also purchase all regular-priced tickets in advance 24 hours a day, seven days a week online at or by calling 1-800-585-3737.
