The fourth annual Hockey Weekend Across America event through USA Hockey will be held from Feb. 18-20 at venues throughout the United States of America.

Presented by Reebok, Hockey Weekend Across America is an opportunity to celebrate the great game of hockey along with those who are involved in the sport and to expose hockey to new audiences.

The popular Hockey Weekend Across America "Get Your Gear On" Contest allows fans an opportunity to win one of three Reebok Hockey head-to-toe equipment packages by visiting this link.  Hockey fans can submit photos of themselves, their friends and colleagues wearing their favorite Ferris State University hockey sweater at work and/or school during "Wear Your Favorite Hockey Jersey" day on Friday, Feb. 18.  Ferris State hockey fans will have opportunities to display their Bulldog hockey apparel on Feb. 11-12 versus Alabama-Huntsville and Feb. 18-19 against Notre Dame.  All four home games will be held at FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids, Mich., starting at 7:05 p.m. (EST) and tickets may be purchased by contacting the FSU Athletics Ticket Office at (231) 591-2888.

On Saturday, Feb. 19, over 200 ice rinks throughout the nation will host Try Hockey for Free Clinics which includes the Ewigleben Ice Arena on the FSU campus in Big Rapids, Mich.  This clinic, coordinated by the Big Rapids Area Junior Hockey Association (BRAJHA), provides a chance to expose new fans to the sport.  For ways to get involved with your local Try Hockey for Free Clinics, please e-mail Kevin Erlenbach at kevine@usahockey.org.  The "Bring A Friend to the Rink", presented by the National Hockey League (NHL), will also take place on Feb. 19.

Fans are encouraged to post their "Hockey Hero" on Ferris State's Facebook page during "Celebrate Local Hockey Heroes" Day on Sunday, Feb. 20.  The event is presented by Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports.

It's A Great Weekend For Hockey!
