Bulldog Golf Teams Set To Open NCAA Action; Follow Live Scoring Online!

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's golf teams will open NCAA Tournament action this coming week and fans can follow all the action online with live scoring via the internet.

The Bulldog women's golf team will open play in the 2014 NCAA East Super Regional on Sunday (May 4) at the Purgatory Golf Club in Indianapolis, Ind.  The University of Indianapolis will be hosting the East Super Regional Tournament on the women's side with the participating teams playing a single round each day for a total of 54 holes.  Round two will take place Monday (May 5) with the final round on Tuesday (May 6).

Meanwhile, the men's golf squad will compete in the 2014 Midwest/Central Super Regional starting on Monday at the Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Mo.  The Midwest/Central Super Regional will be hosted by the University of Missouri-St. Louis and teams will play a single round on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (May 7) for a total of 54 holes as well.

The  Midwest/Central Men's Golf Super Regional will consist of 10 teams from the Midwest Region along with 10 from the Central Region.  Four individuals from each region will also compete. The top four teams and the top two individuals not affiliated with a team from the regional (regardless of region) will advance to the 2014 NCAA-II Men's Golf Championships slated for May 19-23 at the Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich.

Each women's golf super regional will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently with nine teams and four individuals from non-qualifying teams at each site. The top three teams along with the top three individuals not affiliated with a team from each super regional, will advance to the national championships. The 2014 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships will be held May 14-17, at Rock Barn Golf & Spa in Conover, N.C.

Both Ferris State teams are guided by seventh-year head coach Mike Mignano. The Bulldog men will be making their 12th-straight national tournament appearance while the women's squad is in the field for the 13th year in a row.
