Men's Golf Competes Against Indy In Rare Dual Match

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf team squared off against the Indianapolis Greyhounds in a rare dual match on Friday (March 29), but came out on the short end at the Heartland Crossing Golf Course in Camby, Ind.

The Bulldogs carded an 11-over total of 299 for the round while the Greyhounds shot an impressive one-under figure of 287 in the event.

Indianapolis' Max Bowling carded the round's low score with a two-under par 70 on the par 72 course that measured 6,902 yards.

Ferris State was led by Trent Davison, who placed tied for third overall with an even-par 72 score for the day.  He was followed by Ben Cook in sixth place with a 73 (+1).

FSU's Chris Eaton tied for seventh place at 74 (+2), Andrew Jared was 10th with a 78 (+6), Sam Stark finished 13th overall at 80 (+8) and Luke Trocchio rounded out the Bulldog lineup with an 87 (+15), which was good for 15th place in the field.

The event was a late addition to the Bulldog schedule.

Ferris State returns to actioni on Sunday and Monday, March 31-April 1, at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational, which will be held in Columbus, Ind.
