Jordan Sweeney
Title: Volunteer Assistant Coach

A fresh face in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Bulldogs is Jordan Sweeney.

Previously, he was a manager for Central Michigan University’s Men’s Basketball team during the 2012-13 season.  While there, he also earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in the spring of 2013.

The last two years, during the spring of 2012 and 2013, Jordan had the opportunity to coach an AAU team.  He coached Championship Sports, a 17-and-under team based out of Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

During the 2011-12 basketball season, Jordan officially began his coaching career.  He was given an opportunity by Coach Josh Bull with Morley-Stanwood’s Boys’ Varsity basketball team.

Before getting into the coaching side of the sport, Jordan used to play a little basketball as well.  He played two years at Alpena Community College while earning his Associate's Degree in the spring of 2010.  During his final year, he was a team captain.

Before college, he attended Cedarville High School, where he graduated in the spring of 2007.  During high school, he participated in almost every sport offered.  Jordan lettered in five sports, including basketball, football, track, cross country and even tried golf for a year.  He was an all-conference athlete in four sports, including basketball, football, track and cross country.  He was also an All-State athlete in basketball, track, and cross country.

While excelling in many sports in high school, Jordan’s main interest and passion is in basketball.  During his high school career, he was a three-time All-Conference player, two-time All-U.P. player, two-time All-State player, three-time most dedicated player, and two-year captain during his three years on varsity.  During his final two years of basketball, Cedarville compiled a record of 51-2, which included two conference championships and two Final Four appearances, which was capped off by a State Championship and a 26-0 season in 2007.

Jordan and his wife Miranda, who is currently pursuing a degree in business from Ferris State, currently reside in Rodney, Mich.
