Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University Athletics has announced a schedule change involving the Bulldogs' men's and women's basketball squads.
The FSU home hoops games scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 18, against Ohio Valley (men) and Hillsdale (women) have been pushed back one day to Sunday, Nov. 19. The men's squad will host Ohio Valley starting at 1 p.m. (ET) that day with the women taking on Hillsdale beginning at 5 p.m. (ET).
The changes were made in the schedule due to the potential of postseason action involving both the Bulldogs' nationally-ranked football and volleyball squads.
Both teams will begin a busy stretch of games this coming weekend with the FSU men hosting the GLIAC/GLVC Challenge inside Wink Arena on Friday and Saturday (Nov. 10-11). FSU faces Quincy in its home opener Friday before meeting Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday with both games tipping off at 5:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, the women's squad will play its season opener on Friday in the Midwest Regional Challenge hosted by Ursuline in Pepper Pike, Ohio. The Bulldog women take on the host Arrows in opening day play Friday at 1 p.m. (ET) before meeting Davis & Elkins (W.Va.) on Saturday to wrap up the event at 6 p.m.
The first home action for the Bulldog women's squad then takes place next Tuesday (Nov. 14) with FSU hosting a special school day contest against Olivet starting at 12 p.m.
Including the upcoming home games, the Ferris State men will play eight consecutive games at home in November and the first weekend of December starting this week. The women begin a six-game homestand that lasts into December on Tuesday.
