Brady Interview

Ryan Brady began his FSU career as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach on head coach Tony Annese's initial Bulldog staff in 2013 before moving to the defensive side of the ball to coach the linebackers in 2014 and 2015 while serving as co-defensive coordinator.

He returned to the offensive side in 2016 as the Bulldogs' Offensive Coordinator and guided the offensive line and tight ends, but will move back again to the defensive side to coach the linebackers in 2017.

In the 2015 campaign, he helped the Bulldogs to a second-straight GLIAC Championship and unbeaten regular season. FSU posted its first NCAA Playoff victory in 19 years and ran its regular-season winning streak to 25 consecutive games.

While a member of the offensive staff in 2016, Brady played a key role as FSU advanced to the NCAA Division II National Semifinals for the second-time in school history and won a school-record 12 games.

He is no stranger to the GLIAC as he played quarterback and earned a bachelor's degree in education from Grand Valley State.  He helped lead GVSU to the Division II National Championship game as a quarterback in 2001 and was a member of the school's first national title team in 2002.

Brady served as the Lakers' quarterbacks coach on their '03 championship squad before going to Muskegon HS as a strength and conditioning coach in 2004.  He served as the head freshman coach at Chesaning High School in 2005 and then took over as the offensive coordinator and QB coach at Montrose High School in 2006.

He moved on to become head coach at Perry High School in 2008 before joining Annese's staff as quarterbacks coach at Grand Rapids Community College in 2009.

Brady led Chesaning to a state football championship as the school's signal caller in 1998 and was a first-team all-state honoree.  He also holds a masters degree in educational leadership from Saginaw Valley State.
