Ferris State Football Media/Photo Day Set For This Saturday At Top Taggart Field

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University football program will hold its 2014 Media & Photo Day on Saturday, Aug. 23, at Top Taggart Field on the FSU campus in Big Rapids, Mich. The event will coincide with the team's first major scrimmage of the year.

Regional and statewide media are encouraged to attend the event, which will feature the availability of Ferris State football student-athletes and coaches for interviews.  The event will be held in conjunction with the squad's individual and team photo shoot, which begins with all players in uniform at 8:30 a.m. (ET).

The Bulldog Football Media Day provides an opportunity for local and statewide media outlets to interview various players and staff associated with the 2014 Ferris football team.  All media are invited to attend at any time during the photo shoot, which runs from 8:30-10 a.m. (ET) prior to the late morning scrimmage.

Saturday's morning scrimmage is slated to begin following media/photo day activities at 10 a.m. (ET) and will mark the first major scrimmage of preseason camp, which began last Thursday, for Ferris State.

The Bulldogs will begin their 106th season of varsity competition this coming fall with their sights set on competing for a potential GLIAC Championship and a NCAA Division II Playoff berth after posting only the program's second eight-win season in the last 16 years during the 2013 campaign. FSU opens the 2014 campaign with a non-league contest at McKendree (Ill.) on Thursday, Sept. 4, before visiting Northwood for their GLIAC opener on Sept. 13 in Midland.

FSU's 2014 home opener at Top Taggart Field will be on Sept. 20 as the Bulldogs entertain archrival Grand Valley State in the Anchor-Bone Classic with kickoff set for 7 p.m. (ET).

Both season and individual game tickets for all 2014 home contests are now on sale and can be purchased thru the FSU Athletics Ticket Office by calling (231) 591-2888 or online at StarTickets.com. For more information, please visit FerrisStateBulldogs.com.
