Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University football program will hold its 2013 Media & Photo Day on Friday, Aug. 23, at Top Taggart Field on the FSU campus in Big Rapids, Mich.
Regional and statewide media are encouraged to attend the event, which will feature the availability of Ferris State football student-athletes and coaches for interviews. The event will be held in conjunction with the squad's individual and team photo shoot from 1 to 3 p.m. (ET) with all players in uniform.
The Bulldog Football Media Day provides an opportunity for local and statewide media outlets to interview various players and staff associated with the 2013 Ferris football team. All media are invited to attend at any time within the two-hour block. The team is also slated to practice in the morning from 9-11:30 a.m. (ET).
Ferris State begins its 105th season of varsity competition by facing a North Dakota State on Sept. 7 at Gate City Bank Field inside the Fargodome at Fargo, N.D. The Bison are the two-time defending Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) National Champions and the preseason number one team in the country. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. (ET) and the contest will be televised live by ESPN3.
The week one test will kickoff an 11-game Bulldog football slate in 2013 that features five home contests at Top Taggart Field and a 10-game GLIAC schedule. FSU will play its home opener the following week on Sept. 14 as the Bulldogs open league action in Big Rapids against the Lake Erie Storm starting at 7 p.m. (ET).
