Big Rapids, Mich. - Another busy weekend of home events is in store for Ferris State University Athletics as the Bulldogs will have multiple teams in action this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2-3, in Big Rapids.
The Bulldog football team will play its regular-season home finale against the Northwood Timberwolves at Top Taggart Field on Saturday with kickoff set for 1 p.m. (ET). FSU will honor 17 seniors prior to their final home contest and it will be "Kids Day" presented by Schuberg Insurance and Auto Owners Insurance.
A variety of events will take place in conjunction with "Kids Day". A raffle begins at noon and children will have an opportunity to win guest positions such as a serving as a water boy, trainer, equipment manager, radio personality, warmup coach and more. All proceeds from the event will go to support Angels of Action and the fun event will include inflatables and more.
In addition to Bulldog Football, the 19th-ranked Ferris State men's ice hockey team continues Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) play at home versus fourth-ranked Miami (Ohio) on Friday and Saturday evenings inside the Ewigleben Sports Arena. Faceoff both nights is set for 7:05 p.m. (ET). An autograph night will take place following Saturday's contest with three selected Bulldog student-athletes on hand.
The Ferris State women's basketball squad will also be at home on Friday night as the Bulldogs host Calvin for an exhibition game across the hall at FSU's Jim Wink Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. (ET) prior to Bulldog Hockey and will give fans a first glimpse of the Bulldogs in action under new head coach Colleen Lamoreaux-Tate.
